The Committee of relations with living abroad nations of the Parliament of Georgia and Parliamentary group of friendship of Northern Caucasus nations discussed the genocide of the Caucasian peoples in today's meeting. According to Caucasus Online the Committee begins to consider scientists and experts’ opinions on the genocide of the North Caucasus people. According to the Chairman of the Committee of relations with living abroad nations, Nugzar Tsyklauri, this subject has been discussed with the academic community, scientists and stakeholders for several months. Georgia is well aware of its historic mission connecting with the relations with the Caucasian peoples. "In these relations our motto should be "Strength is in unity", - said Nugzar Tsiklauri. Further, scientists Bezhan Khorava and Merab Chukhua presented their research. They pointed out an aggressive policy of Russia against the Circassians, Chechens and Ingush, lasting already for two centuries.

According to Bezhan Khorava’s report, the strategy plan of Russia's actions implies subjugation or complete destruction of the mountain peoples, evidenced at least by the Directive of Nicholas the First. As a result of Russia policies such groups of the Caucasian mountaineers as Dzhyks, Ubykhs and others were exterminated. According to Merab Chukhua’s report, the Russian authorities forced Chechens and Ingush left their homelands 16 times. Mass cremation of representatives of the Caucasian peoples, driven together into a building, massive destruction of disablers is methods used by Russia not at once. In a result of the aggressive policy of Russia in Chechnya the numbers of villages and towns, including the city of Grozniy were completely destroyed. For destruction of these nations Russia also actively uses radiological weapons, resulting by spreading the tumor diseases among local youth. According to the author’s report in the period from 1992 to 2010 year only, the number of victims of criminal acts of Russia ran up to 300,000 of Chechens and Ingush, including 40 000 children, and more than 20 000 missing. According to experts, the flora and fauna of Chechnya were endured a serious damage, and their recovery require 50 years the least. The experts also described the tsarist Russia “military expeditions” and gave examples of the ethnic purges, and statistics data. As the specialists marked, human rights activists and politicians should confer a qualification of genocide on the mentioned above and other similar facts. The issue will also be viewed by parliamentary committees on human rights, civil integration and law matters with further consideration of the legal statute of the events. As it was noted at today's meeting, the Committee would look forward to publication of other scientists’ findings and after detailed review of them it would be possible to come to the resolutions on those events. "Other scientists could willingly cooperate with our committee.

of course they write on the flag...which is not nice but they love it we understand, which is nice :-)

In this only case the contours of the juridical qualification of the relevant facts will be manifested. This discussion should have an international statute", - said Nugzar Tsyklauri. "The discussion will continue and it is important that it will not be local and will not be limited by Georgia only. It must become large-scale. This discussion should be given an international character. It has its pre-conditions and in the coming months the North Caucasus issue will become moreactual in the world "- said Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee, Nugzar Tsyklauri.
