I think this phrase sums it up. But on the side of the Poles I think it's a lack of trust has a higher weighting. But then much of the world distrusts russia. Trust has to be earned. So a lot of work required on both sides if anything is to change. "Trust" is an interesting notion on the international stage. If Chechnya got independent then, there would be nothing left of Russia. All our districts, like Tatarstan, and even some cities would demand independence for themselves. Years ago tiny Chechnya tried to break away from Russia, but Russia decided to send troops into Chechyna and kill hundreds of thousands of Chechens instead of just allowing Chechens to have their independence. Like that tiny amount territory would have made a difference with Russia. Russia then manipulated a situation with its phoney peacekeepers in Georgia to agitate non-Georgians in North Georgia to give Russia and excuse to seize more territory for Russia at Georgia's expense. Hurting neighboring nations and growing Russia at the expense of neighboring nations is how Russia operates. We all know that Russia hates Polish people for being true and honor Polish. Most of the Polish want to live free from Russian interests and westernized a bit so none of Polish will be hungry and poor. Furthermore, Poland is planning to have close relations with NATO. And what? Can't they? Poland is a state that supposed to have independent foreign policies. Moreover, in order to survive at from of the dangerous monster, Poland has to have some physical defense doesn't matter with who as far as it defends you. Russians fight and abuse all their neighbours, I don't now why. Usually inferior people try to fight their neighbours to prove themselves to be strong. Peaceful yet strong people never fight without a need to self defend. And if the US wont react on Russia's biased policies with its neighbours, then the US had better to think of their future existence. Because isn't fat from the US. Right on the other side of the planet. Your Polish Friend, Popieluszko, for ChechenCenter
