As we know, after a serious illness, on 78th year of a life the former president of Lithuania Algirdas Brazauskas has died. The statesman, whose outstanding political abilities have been directed on selfless service to the Lithuanian people and democracy principles. Algirdas Brazauskas was at the head of processes which have led to restoration of independence of the Lithuanian state.

On behalf of the ChRI Government and the Chechen people I present deep and sincere condolences to Algirdas Brazauskas's family and all friendly Lithuanian people. Light memory of the outstanding son of Lithuania Algirdas Brazauskas for ever remains with us.
